Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

KASTAMONU UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF FORESTRY JOURNAL RESEARCH AND PUBLICATION ETHICS AND
POLICY
1. Copyright Transfer: All authors must sign the Copyright Transfer form. The signature of the corresponding author is mandatory. If the other author(s) cannot be reached and their signatures cannot be obtained, the corresponding author accepts the responsibility of the relevant author(s).

2. The submitted manuscript must not have been published elsewhere or be under review for publication in any journal. All authors mentioned in the article have seen and approved the submitted article. The journal is not responsible for any problems between the authors, such as the order of names.

3. The manuscript must be prepared according to the journal's spelling rules. As the author/authors of the article, they are deemed to have waived the article’s copyright and transferred this right to the Kastamonu University Faculty of Forestry Journal and authorized the journal to publish the article in the journal. They are deemed to have accepted the article as soon as they upload it to the system.

4. The author(s) of the article accepts that all texts, figures, graphs, photographs, and charts given in the article belong to the authors of the article and that all kinds of information received from other researchers are made by citing the source within the framework of ethical rules and that the author(s) of the article are responsible for any ethical offense.

5. Kastamonu University Journal of Faculty of Forestry is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal. The journal does not charge fees under any name (such as article processing, evaluation, or printing fee).

6. Kastamonu University Journal of Faculty of Forestry published 3 issues a year (March-September-December). The journal does not publish special issues or additional issues.

7. Kastamonu University Journal of Forestry Faculty has agreed to comply with the provisions of The COPE Code of Conduct for Journal Editors prepared by COPE.

8. Kastamonu University Journal of Forestry Faculty is evaluated by double-blind peer review process.

9. Kastamonu University Journal of Forestry Faculty does not accept any advertisements.

10. All articles published in Kastamonu University Faculty of Forestry Journal are archived and stored in PDF format through the TÜBİTAK-ULAKBIM database.

11. Personal information such as names, e-mail addresses and telephone numbers entered into the Kastamonu University Faculty of Forestry Journal system will be used only for the scientific purposes of this journal by the Privacy Statement.

12. Articles submitted to Kastamonu University Faculty of Forestry are first evaluated by the editor-in-chief. Articles that are not suitable for the scope of the journal are rejected at this stage.

13. If the articles that are suitable for the scope of the journal do not have any significant deficiencies, the referee review is initiated. The referee invitation period is 1 week and the referee evaluation period is 1 month. If deemed necessary, referees may be given additional time to complete their reviews. Authors are given 1 month to make the necessary corrections to the manuscript in line with the referees' opinions. Authors are given a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 7 days for the final check of the accepted article.

14. Each article submitted to the journal is reviewed by two referees. If both referees give a positive opinion, the article is accepted. If both referees give a negative opinion, the article is rejected. If one of the referees gives a positive and the other a negative opinion, a third referee is consulted. A decision on the articles submitted to the journal is made at the end of three months at the latest.

15. Articles suitable for the journal's scope are initiated for peer review if there is no significant deficiency. The referee invitation period is 1 week and the referee evaluation period is 1 month. Authors are given a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 4 weeks to make the necessary corrections on the article in line with the referee's opinions. A minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 7 days is given for the final control phase.

16. Each article submitted to the journal is reviewed by two referees. If both referees give a positive opinion, the article is accepted. If both referees give a negative opinion, the article is rejected. If one of the referees gives a positive and the other a negative opinion, a third referee is consulted. A decision on manuscripts submitted to the journal is usually made at the end of six months at the latest.

By submitting his/her manuscript, the Author(s) warrants that the Author has the right or has obtained authorization to enter into this Licence.
The Author warrants that the manuscript;
· has not been published before, or is not currently being considered for publication elsewhere,
· does not infringe any intellectual property right of any person and its use in accordance with this Licence will not infringe any intellectual property right of any person,
· does not contain any subject matter that contravenes any laws,
· meets ethical standards applicable to the research discipline.


Plagiarism Rules

Our journal is using iThenticate plagiarism solution and our maximum allowed score, for the manuscript in which References sections truncated, is 20%. Scores higher than 20% are not allowed and the manuscript will be returned to the authors with given the plagiarism report.
