The primary aim of Katre is to explain and tackle the varying questions concerning humanity and existence via engagement with the Risale-i Nur and elaborating its perspective and worldview; to contribute to scientific researches through building an alternative platform by discussing questions concerning humanities' life and existence as well as the search for truth.
Researches and articles written or translated in the fields of social and human sciences (history, culture, education, art, economic and administrative sciences, philosophy and religious studies) as well as experimental, descriptive and theoretical studies, model suggestions, etc.are published in Katre. The journal also publishes book reviews and reports concerning national and international academic and cultural events.
The articles submitted to the journal should not have been published anywhere before and should not have been decided for publication.
The spelling of the words included in the Turkish articles should conform to the latest standards of the Turkish Language Institute.
The pages should be 16X23.5 cm in size and have 2.5 cm margins at the top, bottom, right and left sides. Main and sub-headings and main text should be written in 11 pt, Turkish and English abstracts and bibliography should be written in 10 pt, footnotes should be written using 9 pt characters and texts must have 1 line spacing.
The initials of article’s title and subtitles should be in capital letters. While the article title must be centered in the middle, the sub-heading should be placed on the left. The authors’ name and surname should be written directly under the title of the article, while the academic title and the institution name and email address and ORCID ID NUMBER should be written in a footnote attached to the author’s name.
Together with the article an abstract not exceeding 200 words as well as from five to eight key words representing the article should be submitted.
Tables, figures, pictures, and graphics must be numbered, titled and should not exceed dimensions of 12x17 cm in order not to go beyond the page dimensions of the journal. Therefore, smaller font sizes can be used in these elements.
Pictures should be attached to the article in high resolution and print quality. They should be numbered and titled. Figures, tables, and pictures should not exceed one third of the total page length of the article. Authors with technical means can place figures, tables, and pictures in their places in the text, provided that they can be printed exactly.
Direct quotations should be given in quotation marks. Quotations less than 3 lines must be given in paragraphs and quotations longer than 3 lines should be written in block from indented 1 cm from the left of the line and in 10 point characters.
References used in the article should follow either one of the two citation styles of ISNAD (2. EDITION) and APA (7th EDITION).

A. ETHICAL PRINCIPLES
The publication process of Katre International Human Studies Journal is the basis of the improvement and dissemination of information objectively and respectfully. It is of utmost importance that all parties included in the publication process (authors, readers and researchers, publisher, reviewers and editors) comply with the standards of ethical considerations. Katre International Human Studies Journal expects all parties to hold the following ethical responsibilities.
The following ethical duties and responsibilities are written in the light of the guide and policies made by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, and the publisher.

2. Author’s responsibilities:
Authors obliged to participate in peer review process;
Authors significantly contribute to the research;
Statement that all data in article are real and authentic;

3. Peer review / responsibility for the reviewers:
Judgments should be objective;
Reviewers should have no conflict of interest with respect to the research, the authors and/or the research funders;
Reviewers should point out relevant published work which is not yet cited;
Reviewed articles should be treated confidentially.
4. Editorial responsibilities:
Editors have complete responsibility and authority to reject/accept an article;
Editors should have no conflict of interest with respect to articles they reject/accept;
Editors only accept a paper when reasonably certain;
When errors are found, editors encourage publication of corrections or retractions;
Preserve anonymity of reviewers.

6. Duties of the Publisher
Katre International Human Studies Journal is committed to ensuring that commercial revenue has no impact or influence on editorial decisions. In addition, Katre assumes assisting communication with other journals and/or publishers where this is useful for editors. Finally, Katre’s publisher is ready to work closely with other publishers and industry associations to set standards for best practices on ethical matters, errors, and retractions–and are prepared to provide specialized legal review and counsel if necessary.
Plagiarism Detection
Katre International Human Studies Journal uses double-blind review fulfilled by at least two reviewers. In addition, all articles are checked by means of a program in order to confirm they have not been published before and they avoid plagiarism.
The peer review process is at the heart of the success of scientific publishing. As part of our commitment to the protection and enhancement of the peer review process, Katre has an obligation to assist the scientific community in all aspects of publishing ethics, especially in cases of (suspected) duplicate submission or plagiarism.
When a reader discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in a paper published in Katre or have any other complaint about editorial content (plagiarism, duplicate papers, etc.), he/she should make a complaint by e-mail to katre@iikv.org. We welcome complaints as they provide an opportunity for improvement, and we aim to respond quickly and constructively.
B. PUBLICATION PRINCIPLES
1. Katre International Human Studies Journal is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes 2 issues June and December.) a year.
2. Katre International Human Studies Journal publishes researches and articles written or translated in the fields of social and human sciences (history, culture, education, art, economic and administrative sciences, philosophy and religious studies) as well as experimental, descriptive, theoretical studies, model suggestions, etc. The journal also publishes book reviews and reports concerning national and international academic and cultural events.
3. Manuscripts sent to the journal for publication are reviewed by the editorial board in terms of purpose, scope, content, method, and compliance with spelling rules.
4. Studies are also checked up for plagiarism.
5. Manuscripts found suitable are sent to two reviewers to be evaluated in terms of scientific proficiency. If the reviewer reports are positive, then the article is published after the editorial review; If one of the reviewers gives a negative report, the editor can decide to publish the article. The work that has been decided for publication is placed into the publication queue. Reviewer reports are confidential. The author(s) are informed of the development related to their work within the period.
6. The submitted studies are not returned whether they are published or not. Only the reviewer reports are sent to the author and the decision is reported.
6. A copy of the originals of the texts should be attached in translation and simplification studies.
7. The editorial board decides to publish the book reviews.
8. Scientific and legal responsibility of the articles belongs to their authors. Copyright fee is not paid to the authors.
9. The accepted articles are both published electronically, and paper printed.
10. The studies sent to our journal should not have been previously published and should not be in the publication process in another journal. Papers presented in scientific meetings can be published provided that necessary explanations are made.
11. After signing up to the system, you need to send your article in the form of "Word" (without specifying the Name and Surname) by clicking the membership button on the main page of the journal. To provide the proper functioning of the reviewing process, no contact information about the name, title, institution, etc. should be given in the title page of the article. This information will be added by the editor at the publishing stage after the reviewing process is completed. The article name should be written in Turkish and English, the names, surnames, academic titles of the authors and the institution they work in should be fully entered in the membership process.
12. All rights of the published articles belong to the Katre International Human Studies Journal. Without providing references, citations cannot be made from the articles published in Katre.
