Abstract

Öz: Deleuze'e göre içinde bulunduğumuz çağ farklı olanı felsefi olarak ele almayı zorunlu kılmıştır. Deleuze, felsefe tarihi boyunca filozofların fark kavramını ele alış yöntemlerini eleştirir. Ona göre fark kavramı felsefe tarihi boyunca temsilin dört ögesine indirgenmiştir. Temsilin dört ögesi özdeşlik, karşıtlık, analoji ve benzerliktir. Fark kavramı temsilin bu dört ögesiyle tanımlanmış ve aynıya tabi kılınmıştır. Böylesi bir tabi kılma fark kavramını aynılık kavramı üzerinden belirler. Halbuki fark kavramı bizzat kendi içinde düşünülmeli, tanımlanmalı ve belirlenmelidir. Deleuze'e göre farkı aynı kavramına indirgeyerek özdeşlik temelinde belirlemeye çalışan filozofların başında Platon gelir. Onun Platon'u eleştirmesinin temelinde Platon'un farkı aynıya ya da özdeşliğe indirgemesi ve farkı bir olumsuzlama olarak görmesi yatar. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın birinci bölümünde Deleuze’ün fark kavramını bir olumlama olarak ele alması yer almakta, ikinci bölümde ise Deleuze’ün Platon’un fark kavramını bir olumsuzlama olarak görme iddiası ve Platoncu diyalektik bölme yöntemine getirdiği eleştirileri üzerinde durulmaktadır.

Deleuze's DELEUZE'S CRITIQUE OF PLATO: "THE CONCEPT OF DIFFERENCE”

Abstract

Abstract: According to Deleuze, our age makes it necessary to elaborate the concept of "difference" in a philosophical fashion. In this context, he criticizes the way philosophers have handled it throughout the history of philosophy. Deleuze claims that the concept of difference is reduced to four elements of representation, which are identity, opposition, analogy and similarity/sameness. The concept of difference is defined by these four elements, and subjected to the concept of the "same". The concept of "difference" is determined via this concept of similarity/sameness. However, the concept of difference must be conceptualized, defined and determined in itself. According to Deleuze, Plato is the foremost of the philosophers who tried to determine the "difference" based on identity, reducing it to "the similarity/sameness ". Deleuze criticizes Plato, in that Plato reduces the difference to the similar/same, and sees the difference as a negation. In this context, the first part of the study includes Deleuze's treatment of the concept of difference as an affirmation, while the second part focuses on Deleuze's claim to see Plato's concept of difference as a negation and his criticisms of the Platonic dialectical division method.
