Aim of the study is to determine the effect of the communicator styles exhibited by the managers to employees on the job satisfaction and intention to leave of the employees. The universe of the study was determined as public and private sector employees and the convenience sampling method was applied. To obtain the data, questionnaire technique was used. The questionnaire consists of four parts. The first part includes questions about the demographic characteristics of the participants. In the latter part, there is the Communicator Styles Scale was created by Norton (1983) and adapted into Turkish by Dursun & Aydın (2011). In the third part, the Job Satisfaction Scale developed by Brayfield & Rothe (1951) and adapted into Turkish by Keser & Bilir (2019); and in the last part, The Intention to Leave scale, which was developed by Camman and colleague (1983) and adapted into Turkish by Gürbüz & Bekmezci (2012), was used. After the data collection process and cleaning of missing and extreme data, a total of 352 questionnaires were included in the analysis. Results which are carried out with statistical package programs show that the manager's friendly, attentive, communicator image, relaxed, open and effective communicator styles increased the job satisfaction of the employees and decreased the intention to leave.
Yöneticilerde olması gereken özellikler arasında iletişim oldukça önemli bir yere sahiptir. Öte yandan kurulması gereken iletişimci biçimi şekli üzerinde fikir birliğine varılmış değildir. Bu doğrultuda hazırlanan çalışmada yöneticilerin çalışanlarına gösterdiği iletişimci biçimlerinin, çalışanların iş tatmini ile işten ayrılma niyeti üzerindeki etkisinin saptanması amaçlanmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen çalışmanın evreni kamu ve özel sektör çalışanları olarak belirlenmiş ve kolayda örneklem yöntemine başvurulmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasında anket tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Veri toplama süreci ve eksik ile uç verilerin temizlenmesinin ardından toplam 352 anket analiz kapsamına dâhil edilmiştir. İstatistik paket programları ile gerçekleştirilen analiz sonucunda yöneticinin arkadaş canlısı, ilgili, iletişimci imajı, rahat, açık ve etki bırakan iletişim şekillerinin çalışanların iş tatminini arttırdığı ve işten ayrılma niyetini azalttığı saptanmıştır.
