Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to adapt Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale-Positive (DERS-Positive) developed by Weiss, Gratz and Lavender (2015) to Turkish culture and to investigate the validity and reliability of DERS-Positive Turkish form. The participants consisted of 753 university students studied at a state university. In data analysis computer statistical packet programs were used. Construct validity of the scale was investigated with confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The results of CFA showed that DERS-Positive Turkish form yielded 3 factors like original form, and the model was well fit (S-BX2=129.48, df=62, p=.000, S-BX2/df=2.08, RMSEA=.06, GFI=.95, AGFI=.92, CFI=.96, NFI=.93, NNFI=.94, RMR= .03). Item load ranged from .38 to .81. Cronbach alpha internal consistency coefficient of the scale ranged from .69 to .90, split half test reliability ranged from .67 to .89.
