Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to determine the knowledge levels and conceptual misconceptions about pressure-boiling point relation of 3rd grade students through Predict-Observe-Explain (POE). Sample of the study constitutes 33 students who are studying 3rd grade students in the Science Education Department in Sakarya University Education Faculty in the 2015-2016 academic year. The data were collected by POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) application which was carried out via water boiling experiment with ice. Data collection sources are composed of POE forms and class discussion records during the application. In the study conducted, it was found that the students did not have a full relationship with pressure and boiling point and they are most focused on condensation in their observations. Moreover, it was observed that the studens had problems with all of the steps of prediction, observation and explanation of the application used in the study.
