Soğuk İklim Kentlerinde Dış Mekânlarda Halkın Renk Tercihlerinin Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Kentsel nüfus giderek artmakta ve insanlar daha yaşanabilir kent ortamları oluşturmak için çözümler aramaktadır. Temel ihtiyaçların yanı sıra yaşanabilir kentler oluşturulmasında görsel etkinin psikolojik ve fizyolojik açıdan ne kadar önemli olduğu birçok çalışmada belirtilmiştir. Kent estetiği ve kent imajı açısından bir donatı elemanı olarak renk belirleyici olup, yaşanabilir kent kavramı içerisinde canlı veya cansız tüm fiziki yapıların estetik algısını etkilemektedir. Ayrıca renklerin psikolojik olarak kişileri etkilediği de birçok çalışmada ortaya konulmuştur ve yapılan çalışmada psikolojik olarak insanları etkileme oranı %73,8 ile yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada, soğuk iklim bölgesini temsil eden Erzurum kentinde yapılan bir anket çalışması ile halkın dış mekan fiziki dokusundaki renk tercihlerini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda canlı ve cansız fiziki çevrede daha çok soğuk renklerin tercih edildiği belirlenmiştir. Bu durum soğuk kentlerde daha çok soğuk renklerin kullanılması gerektiği fikrini doğrulamaktadır. Bu sonucun ortaya çıkmasında kentin simgesel renklerinin soğuk renkler olmasının etkili olabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır. Fiziki dönüşümün yaşandığı kentte kentin marka renklerini ön plana çıkarıcı renk kullanımının gerekliliği vurgulanmıştır.

Determination of the Color Preferences of the People in the Outdoors in Cold Climate Cities

Abstract

The urban population is increasing rapidly, and people are looking for solutions to create more livable environments. In addition to the basic needs, the importance of the psychological and physiological effects of the visual impact in the creation of livable cities is stated in many studies. Color is an accessory element in terms of urban aesthetics and image and a determinant factor in the aesthetic perception of all the physical structures that are living or non-living in the concept of a livable city. In addition, many studies have revealed that colors affect people psychologically, and the study found that the rate of psychologically affecting people is high at %73,8. This was carried out to determine the people’s color preferences in the outdoor physical tissues. For this aim, a survey study was conducted in the city of Erzurum, which represents the cold climate region. As a result of the study, it was determined that more cold colors were preferred in the living and non-living physical environments. This confirms the idea that more cold colors should be used in cold cities. It was concluded that the cold colors of the city's symbolic colors could be influential in the emergence of this result. In the city where physical transformation is experienced, it is emphasized that the use of color, which emphasizes the brand colors of the city, is needed.
