Abstract

Farklı kültürlerden insanların etkileşiminin her geçen gün arttığı küresel bir dünyada yaşamaktayız. Böyle bir dünyada insanlar arasındaki kültürel farklılıklar ve onun etkilerinin farkında olmak oldukça önemlidir. Özellikle farklı kültürlerde faaliyet gösteren işletmeler için kültürel farklılıkların önemi daha büyüktür. Yapılan araştırmalar, küresel pazarlarda faaliyet gösteren firmaların karşılaştıkları en büyük sorunlardan birinin kültürel farklılıklar olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Bu firmaların faaliyetlerindeki başarısı kültürel farklılıkları fark etmek, onları anlamak ve yönetmekten geçmektedir. Bu çalışmada genel olarak kültür, kültürel farklılıklar ve kültürel farklılıkların yönetimi üzerinde durulacaktır. Ayrıca, bu çalışmada, kültürel farklılıkları yönetmede kullanılabilecek yeni bir strateji olan ‘kültürel zeka’ konusu farklı yönleriyle incelenecektir. Son olarak konu ile ilgili yöneticilere öneriler sunulmaya çalışılacaktır
