Finansal Gelişme ve Ekonomik Büyümenin Yoksulluk Azaltma Etkisi

Abstract

Günümüz küresel ekonomi koşullarında finansal piyasaların rolü oldukça önem kazanmıştır. Finansal piyasalardaki gelişme ülkelerin ekonomik kalkınmalarında önemli rol oynamaktadır. Bu çalışmada finansal gelişme, özel sektör kredileri, finansal piyasa derinliği ve ekonomik büyümenin yoksulluğu azaltma etkileri incelenmiştir. Next-11 ülkelerinin 2000-2018 dönemine ait verilerin kullanıldığı çalışmada panel eş bütünleşme ve nedensellik analizlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Durbin-Hausman eş bütünleşme analizi sonuçlarına göre değişkenler arasında uzun dönemli ilişkinin varlığı tespit edilmiştir. Emirmahmutoğlu ve Köse nedensellik analizi sonuçlarına göre finansal piyasa derinliği, özel sektör kredileri ve ekonomik büyüme ile yoksulluk azaltma arasında çift yönlü nedensellik ilişkisi tespit edilmiştir. Finansal gelişmeden yoksulluk azaltmaya doğru nedensellik ilişkisi tespit edilmemiştir. Ülkeler bazında nedensellik analizi sonuçları farklılık göstermektedir. Nedensellik analizi sonuçları damlama teorisini doğrulamaktadır.
