Publication Policy
Articles submitted for publication must be consistent with the aims and scope of the journal. The journal prioritizes the publication of original research articles.
General Principles
Manuscripts that have not been previously published or are not currently under review by another journal and that are approved by all authors are accepted for evaluation.
Manuscripts passing the initial editorial review are checked using the Turnitin plagiarism detection software. Studies with a similarity rate above 30% will not be accepted. Following the plagiarism check, appropriate manuscripts are evaluated by the Editor in terms of originality, methodology, the significance of the subject matter, and the suitability to the scope of the journal.
Abstracts presented at scientific meetings are accepted as references provided that they are properly cited in the manuscript. If the submitted manuscript complies with the formatting guidelines, the Editor forwards it to at least two referees from Turkey and/or abroad. After peer review, necessary revisions requested by referees must be completed by the authors for the manuscript to be accepted for publication.
Once a manuscript has been submitted to the journal, the name of any author cannot be removed from the author list, no new author can be added, and the order of authors cannot be changed without the written consent of all authors.
Article Processing Charges
No fees are charged for article submission, evaluation, or publication in the journal. No processing or submission fees are requested for manuscripts submitted or accepted for publication.
Authors’ Responsibilities
The responsibility for compliance with scientific and ethical standards lies with the authors. Authors must ensure that the manuscript is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration for publication in another journal in any language. Current copyright laws and agreements must be observed. Copyrighted material (such as tables, figures, or extensive quotations) must be used with the necessary permissions and acknowledgments. The works of other authors, contributors, or sources must be properly acknowledged and cited in the references.
All listed authors must have made an academic and scientific contribution to the submitted manuscript. In this context, an “author” is defined as someone who makes a significant contribution to the conceptualization and design of the research, acquisition of data, or analysis and interpretation of data, and who participates in drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content. Other conditions of authorship include planning or conducting the study and/or revising the manuscript. Solely obtaining funding, collecting data, or general supervision of the research group does not constitute authorship. All individuals designated as authors must meet these criteria, and every individual who meets them must be listed as an author. The order of authors must be a joint decision, and all authors must confirm the order of authorship by signing the Copyright Transfer Form.
Individuals who do not meet the criteria for authorship but who contributed to the study must be acknowledged in the “Acknowledgments/Notes” section. Examples include those who provided only technical support, assisted with writing, or offered general support, financial aid, or material resources.
For accepted articles, authors will be required to submit an extended abstract, as well as institutional information, ORCID numbers, and email addresses.
