Abstract

Periferal osteomlar, genellikle kraniyofasiyal bölgede, özellikle de mandibula ve sinüslerde görülen iyi huylu, yavaş büyüyen kemik tümörleridir. Dilde görülmeleri oldukça nadirdir. Bu olgu sunumunda, 54 yaşında bir erkek hastada görülen dilin periferal osteomu sunulmakta ve bu sıra dışı olgunun klinik görünümü, tanı süreci ve cerrahi tedavisi vurgulanmaktadır. Bu nadir lezyona ilişkin farkındalığı artırmayı ve dilin periferal osteomları hakkındaki sınırlı literatüre katkıda bulunmayı amaçlıyoruz.

Peripheral Osteoma of the Tongue

Abstract

Peripheral osteomas are benign, slow-growing bony tumors typically found in the craniofacial region, particularly in the mandible and sinuses. Their occurrence on the tongue is exceedingly rare. This case report presents a peripheral osteoma of the tongue in a 54-year-old male, highlighting the clinical presentation, diagnostic process, and surgical management of this unusual entity. We aim to increase awareness of this rare lesion and contribute to the limited literature on peripheral osteomas of the tongue.
