Open Access Policy

Kün adopts the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and follows the guidelines of the Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 Open Access License. The BOAI defines open access as the “availability of scientific literature on the Internet, free of financial, legal, or technical barriers, allowing users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose.”

The journal grants authors control over the integrity of their work and ensures proper recognition and citation by assigning them the rights concerning reproduction and distribution. In other words, Kün does not require authors to transfer copyright. However, according to the Creative Commons framework, all authors transfer the right of publication and archiving of their articles to the journal.

Once published by Kün, the articles may be reproduced and distributed, provided that full bibliographic information about the journal is properly retained.
