Peer Review Policy

The articles submitted to the journal should not have been published elsewhere or sent for publication. If an article is submitted with more than one journal at the same time, the evaluation and publication processes in KUJSS will be discontinued.
The candidate article submitted to the journal will be firstly reviewed by the Secretariat for compliance with the publication and editorial rules and then directed to the editorial board for the appointment of the field editor. Candidate articles that do not comply with the publication and writing rules are returned to their authors.
The articles sent to KUJSS are first examined formally by editor and field editors (editorial board) responsible for all processes in terms of publication policy and rules, and those determined to be appropriate are sent to the relevant referees. If necessary, the articles are sent to the authors for review or suggested corrections in the light of criticism and suggestions from the referees.

The article reviewed by the field editor and decided to be evaluated in the journal is sent two referees for evaluation. In the case of one of the referees’ view being positive and the other’s negative, the manuscript is sent to a third referee and a step is taken according to the third referee’s review. The authors re-submit the article, taking into account the corrections and proposals specified in the referee evaluation form.
The editors have the right to publish and publish the articles taking into account the opinions of the referees. The articles decided to be published are sent to the author(s) for final revision.
KUJSS uses a double-blind peer review process, in which the names of the referees and authors are kept secret at every stage of the process.
