Meta Analysis In Medical Sciences

Abstract

Meta analysis is a statistical analysis of results obtained from independent studies to combine the findings. It provides
more powerful and precise estimates than any individual study contributing to the pooled analysis. In this review paper,
the definition and aims of meta analysis, the steps of meta analysis and its advantages and negative criticisms towards
the meta analysis are given.

Abstract

Meta analizi bulguları birleştirmek amacıyla bağımsız çalışmalardan elde edilen sonuçların istatistiksel analizidir. Meta
analizi bireysel bir çalışmaya göre daha güçlü ve daha kesin tahmin yapma olanağı sağlar. Bu derlemede meta
analizinin tanımı ve amaçları, meta analizinde izlenmesi gereken adımlar, meta analizinin avantajları ve meta analizine
yönelik olumsuz eleştiriler verilmektedir.
