Peer Review Process
LATER strictly adheres to double-blind peer-review system. Each manuscript submitted to LATER is peer-reviewed by at least two field experts. Submitted papers are initially made subject to an editorial screening process and iThenticate plagiarism detection software. Following the editorial screening in terms of quality, format and scope of the manuscript, the editor decides whether to send it for peer review. Manuscripts which survive the initial editorial scrutiny are allocated to reviewers. Reviewers are asked to come up with one of the following decisions, with justifications for their reasons. In case of two contrasting decisions, the manuscript is sent to a third reviewer. Typically, authors are returned with a decision about their submission within 50 days maximum.
