Early Warning System Design with an Earth Science Based Interdisciplinary Approach for the Effects of Natural Disasters on Engineering Structures

Abstract

Although natural disasters are considered as a cycle or regeneration when evaluated in their own internal dynamics, they can cause great disasters on human beings and human structures. Especially in the last century, although human beings cannot prevent natural disasters, they try to reduce their effects on human beings. In addition, it strives not to affect the engineering structures that we use a lot in all areas of our lives from natural disasters. Especially after natural disasters such as earthquakes, landslides, highway, railway, etc., which are engineering structures. Affecting the buildings causes both loss of property and life. In this study, an early warning system has been designed by using the internet of things, cloud computing in order to prevent accidents that will occur directly by natural disasters or indirectly by affecting engineering structures. This designed system is designed to detect the deformation and slippage of the superstructure by continuous superstructure monitoring on the railway, which is the engineering structure, with the help of continuous distance measurements. The designed early warning system uses Google Drive technology as the internet of things, as the ardunio sensors and cloud computing. It can transfer the repeated distance measurements it makes to the Google Cloud system via wireless network. The system that can perform data collection, storage and analysis fully automatically. It can be used as an early warning system in many areas as it will serve as a basis for all future studies.

Doğal Afetlerin Mühendislik Yapıları Üzerindeki Etkilerinin Yer Bilimleri Tabanlı Disiplinlerarası Bir Yaklaşımla Erken Uyarı Sistemi Tasarımı

Abstract

Doğal afetler kendi iç dinamiklerinde değerlendirildiğinde bir döngü veya yenilenme olarak düşünülse de insanoğlu ve beşer yapılar üstünde çok büyük felaketlere yol açabilmektedir. Özellikle son yüzyılda insanoğlu doğal afetlerin önüne geçemese de insanoğlu üzerindeki etkilerini azaltmaya çalışmaktadır. Bununla beraber doğal afetlerden, hayatımızın her alanında çokça kullandığımız mühendislik yapılarının etkilenmemesi için çaba göstermektedir. Özellikle deprem, heyelan gibi doğal afetlerin ardından mühendislik yapıları olan karayolu, demiryolu vb. yapıların etkilenmesi hem mal hem de can kayıplarını sebep olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, doğal afetlerin direkt sebep olduğu ya da dolaylı yoldan mühendislik yapılarını etkileyerek meydana gelecek kazaların önüne geçilebilmesi için nesnelerin interneti, bulut bilişimi kullanılarak bir erken uyarı sistemi tasarlanmıştır. Tasarlanan bu sistem sürekli mesafe ölçmeleri yardımı ile söz konusu mühendislik yapısı olan demiryolunda sürekli üst yapı takibi ile üst yapının deformasyonunu ve kaymaları tespit edebilmek için tasarlanmıştır. Tasarlanan erken uyarı sistemi nesnelerin interneti olarak ardunio sensörler ve bulut bilişimi olarak Google Drive teknolojisini kullanmaktadır. Yaptığı tekrarlı mesafe ölçülerini kablosuz ağ aracılığı ile Google Bulut sistemine aktarabilmektedir. Tam otomatik olarak veri toplama, depolama ve analiz gerçekleştirebilen sistem. Gelecekte tüm çalışmalara baz oluşturacağı gibi birçok alanda erken uyarı sistemi olarak kullanılabilir.
