A Study on Osman Güvenir's Novel “Üç Pencere (Three Windows)” Based on Theme Categories

“Üç Pencere” is a documentary novel by Osman Güvenir, the powerful writer of the Turkish Cypriot literature. The novel touches on the events in Cyprus between the years 1955-1974 while portraying the political, social and cultural status of a Turkish Cypriot youngster. The novel depicts the protagonist's life in Turkey and London as well as in Cyprus. Thus, the writer opens three windows in three different locations to expose the novel's storyline. As a realistic writer, Osman Güven successfully describes the life of Özkan Adakan, the novel's protagonist, in “Üç Pencere”.
