ULUSLARARASI TİCARET VE ULAŞILABİLİRLİK: TÜRKİYE KARAYOLLARI ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract











Taşımacılık
maliyetleri uluslararası ticari faaliyetler kapsamında ticaret maliyetlerinin
önemli bir bileşenini oluşturmaktadır. Ticaret maliyetlerinin azaltılması ve
ticaret hacminin arttırılması için taşımacılık maliyetlerinin azaltılması
gerekmektedir. Bu doğrultuda, taşımacılık maliyetlerinin azaltılması amacıyla
ulaşım altyapılarının geliştirilmesi gerekmektedir. Ulaşım altyapısının
iyileştirilmesi, otoyol ağının geliştirilmesi, asfalt ve bölünmüş yol ağının
arttırılması gibi taşımacılık yollarının geliştirilmesini içermektedir. Çalışma
kapsamında,
Türkiye’nin
1984–2014 yılları arasında karayolları uzunluğunun (bölünmüş yol, asfalt yol ve
otoyol uzunluğu olarak) uluslararası ticareti üzerindeki etkisi analiz
edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre Türkiye’nin ihracat ve ithalatı ile karayolları
uzunluğu eşbütünleşme ilişkisi içerisinde olduğu görülmektedir. Buna ek olarak,
Türkiye’nin ihracat ve ithalatı ile karayolları uzunlukları (bölünmüş yol,
asfalt yol ve otoyol uzunluğu olarak) arasında herhangi bir nedensellik
ilişkisi bulunmadığı tespit edilmiştir.
