Influence of School Administrators’ Ethic Behaviours on Teachers’ Job Satisfaction
Abstract
School administrators are expected to behave ethically while performing their duties
by using their authorities. Internalising ethic principles will lead school administrators to
contribute a successful and happy culture in which staff is affected positively. The purpose of
this study is to determine how administrative and occupational ethic influence job satisfaction
of the teachers according to 1st and 2nd class teachers at the primary schools. 210 teachers
from 5 provinces of Istanbul constitute the sample group. “ School Administrators’
Administrative and Occupational Ethic Scale” (Pehlivan, 2001) and “Minnesota Job
satisfaction Scales” are used in the study.
Percentage and Frequency values are given. Crosstab and One Way Anova Tests are
used in the analysis of the data. Pearson Correlation was conducted to determine whether there
was any significance between Ethic Scale and Ethic Sub scales. Recommendations were made
related to findings.
