A Study on Determination the Factors that Effect State School Teachers’ Job Satisfaction

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the level of job satisfaction of the teachers working at state schools in the district of Beykoz in the city of İstanbul. For this research, the questionnaire of job satisfaction has been prepared by the researcher and the specialists in this field. In the questionnaire, there are six demographical questions which are branch, sex, age, total length of service, last educational degree, the name of the school. The questionnaire consists of 43 questions. The questionnaire has been applied to 265 teachers. The data have been analyzed by using SPSS 11.0 program. It has been analyzed that the difference between job satisfaction level of the teachers working at these schools and the factors (nature of the job, administrative manager and collogues, working conditions, transportation & working hours, respectiveness to the job, salary, working insurance, the attitudes of the administrative managers) is meaningful or not.

Lise Öğretmenlerinin İş Doyumunu Etkileyen Faktörlerin Tespitine İlişkin Bir Araştırma

Abstract

ÖZET
Bu araştırmanın amacı İstanbul ili Beykoz ilçesinde resmi liselerde çalışan
öğretmenlerin iş doyum düzeylerini ve iş doyumlarına etki eden faktörleri belirlemektir.
Bu çalışma için araştırmacı ve bu alanda uzman kişiler tarafından bir iş doyum anketi
hazırlanmıştır. Ankette branş, cinsiyet, yaş, toplam hizmet süresi, eğitim düzeyi ve okulun
adı olarak 6 adet demografik soru bulunmaktadır. Anket toplam 43 soruyu içermektedir.
Anket 265 öğretmene uygulanmıştır. Veriler SPSS 11.0 programı kullanılarak analiz
edilmiştir. Bu okullarda çalışan öğretmenlerin iş doyum düzeyi ile faktörler arasında (işin
kendisi, yönetici ve çalışma arkadaşları, çalışma koşulları, ulaşım ve çalışma saatleri,
mesleğin saygınlığı, ücret, iş güvencesi, yöneticilerin tutumu) anlamlı bir farklılık olup
olmadığı analiz edilmiştir.
