A Study on Determination the Factors that Effect State School Teachers’ Job Satisfaction
Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the level of job satisfaction of the teachers working at state schools in the district of Beykoz in the city of İstanbul. For this research, the questionnaire of job satisfaction has been prepared by the researcher and the specialists in this field. In the questionnaire, there are six demographical questions which are branch, sex, age, total length of service, last educational degree, the name of the school. The questionnaire consists of 43 questions. The questionnaire has been applied to 265 teachers. The data have been analyzed by using SPSS 11.0 program. It has been analyzed that the difference between job satisfaction level of the teachers working at these schools and the factors (nature of the job, administrative manager and collogues, working conditions, transportation & working hours, respectiveness to the job, salary, working insurance, the attitudes of the administrative managers) is meaningful or not.
