Didactical Transformation Theory and Its Applications in Mathematics Education
Abstract
In this study, to present the didactical transformation theory that is firstly propounded by Chevallard in the years of 80s and developed by the following studies, to the Turkish Education System is intended. The study consists of three main parts. In the first part, the elements of the didactical transformation theory are presented while the anthropological and ecological approaches that occur as the results of the expansion in the theory are considered in the second part. In last part, the examples of the studies that regard the didactical transformation theory in a theoretical frame are given. The aim of this study prepared by using the method of document analysis is to show a different perspective to the researches in our country.
