Organizational Health in The Schools
Abstract
Supervisors have a lot of job duties’ that fact is undisputed. However, unless
supervisors begin to look at the big picture –the organizational health of their
organization- the rest may cease to matter. Organizational health o novel concept to
organizational literature includes not only a company’s ability to function effectively, but
also its ability to grow and develop. For decades, supervisors have discussed corporate
culture, organizational stress, organizational commitment, ethics and employee morale.
New a unique concept that of organizational health encompasses all of these ideas and
allows a better look at the “big picture. The main organization of the educational system is
school. In order to improve the school’s functions and process it is necessary to control
and check the schools’ organizational health. In order to evaluate the health, teachers’ and other employees’ perception of the organizational health must be known. The purpose of
this study is to define the teachers’ perceptions of the level of organizational health in the
schools.
