The Function of Atelier Work in Programs of Education of Painting and Working

Abstract

This article investigates the function of “atelier work” in the field of education of painting and working at the Faculties of Education. The author considers the important role of the free thinking, free criticizing and free participating of the students in a class of atelier work. As the contemporary education of art system reveals the importance of being able to activate the
imagination and the creativity of the students; the prime aim, for an instructor, must be to ensure the physical and the emotional ambiance in a class of “atelier work”.
Also, this pleasant working ambiance in our universities would remain the one which ,in the future, would show the meaning and the importance of “artistic perceptions” and the “ artistic creations” in our society.

RESİM-İŞ ÖĞRETMENLİĞİ PROGRAMLARINDA ATÖLYE ÇALIŞMALARININ İŞLEVİ

Abstract

Eğitim Fakülteleri, Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümleri, Resim-iş Öğretmenliği
Programlarında, kuramsal dersler, mesleki deneyim, uygulamalar kadar ciddiyetle ele
alınması gereken konu atölye çalışmalarıdır. Atölye çalışmaları, sağlayacağı fiziksel ve
duyusal boyutlar ile nesnel ve öznel bir yapıyı barındır. Öğrenciyi özgür ve bilinçli bir arayışa
yönlendiren bu sistem aynı zamanda eleştiri ve paylaşımı öngörür. Ayrıca çağdaş eğitim
sisteminin yaratıcılığı benimsemesi ile atölyenin öğrencilere standardın dışına çıkabilme,
hayal güçlerini zorlayabilme fırsatı vermesi ilişkilendirildiğinde bu çalışmaların işlevselliği
daha da önem kazanmaktadır. Böylece “Sanatsal algılamalar” yerine “zanaatçı tavrı”
benimseyen bir toplum olmaktan kurtulmak mümkün olabilecektir.
