Abstract

Özet:

Geleneksel İşletme eğitimi programları piyasanın
ihtiyaçlarını dikkate almamakla uzun süredir eleştirilmekteydi.
“Birlikte Eğitim” öncelikle teori ile pratik arasındaki boşluğu
doldurmak, öğrencilere sınıfta öğrendiklerini iş yerinde
uygulama fırsatı vermek ve üniversite eğitiminin artan öğrenci
sayısına cevap verebilmesi amacı ile kurulmuştur. İşletme
Yönetimindeki Birlikte Eğitim programları üniversitede ve
firmalarda ard arda birbirini takip eden akademik eğitim ve
staj modüllerinden oluşmaktadır. Birlikte Eğitimin son 20
yılda dünya genelinde öneminin artmasıyla programın gerekçe
ve üstünlüklerinin tartışılması ve Türkiye’de uygulanabilirliği
karşısındaki engellerin araştırılması ihtiyacı ortaya çıkmıştır.
Bu çalışma aynı zamanda sistemin üç paydaşı olan
öğrencilere, işverenlere ve yüksek öğretim kurumlarına olan
yararları üzerine odaklanmıştır.

Abstract:

Traditional business education programs have long
been criticized for failing to meet the needs of the labor
market. Cooperative Education were established initially to
bridge the gap between theory and practice, allow students an
opportunity to apply classroom learning through workplace
praxis and make university education accessible to the
growing number of students. Cooperative Education programs
in Business Administration consist of consecutively and
alternately using academic training modules at university and
work modules at firms. Since within the last 20 years
Cooperative Education has become more and more important
worldwide it became a need to discuss the motives and merits
of the program and investigate the obstacles to establish it in
Turkey. The paper will also focus on the benefits that accrue
to the three partners of the system: students, employers and the
higher education institutions.
