Diğer Açıdan Bakmak “Sound Of Silence”

Abstract

Sanatçılar yapıtlarını sadece izleyicide hayranlık uyandırmak için yaratmazlar. Çoğu zaman da yapıtları aracılığıyla derin sezgi ve acılar ile ifade edilen duyguları da sunmak için zemin hazırlamak üzere çalışırlar. Hem Batı hem de Doğu sanat tarihi benzer şekilde duygusal ifadeleri içeren örnekleri barındırır. Sanat yapıtı, sanatçının duygularının, kültürel geçmişinin ve kişisel tecrübelerinin bir ürünüdür. Öte yandan sanat yapıtı, sanatçının evrensel bakış açısını çevreleyen bir tarihi olay ya da metinlerden de beslenebilir. Dolayısıyla bu tür evrensel bakış açısını yansıtan sanat yapıtları hem Doğu’ya hem Batı’ya dair benzer görsel ifadeler içerir. Sanat yapıtına zemin oluşturan metinler ve hikayeler, yapıt kadar önem taşıyabilir. Bağlam metini yapıt ile izleyici arasında algısal ve psikolojik etkileşime Zemin oluşturur. Öte yandan, bağlamı taşıyan metin olmadan, seyirci sanat yapıtına kendi kendine bir anlam vermek üzere yalnız bırakılmış olur. Bu makalenin amacı izleyici ile Alfredo Jarr’ın The Sound of Silence yapıtı arasındaki duygusal ve algısal etkileşimi araştırmak üzerinedir. Jarr’ın yapıtı sessizdir ama derinden gelen tarihi olaylara, acılara ve pek çok duyguya dayanır
