ENSURING THE COST MINIMIZATION BY USING TEARDOWN ANALYSISWITHIN THE COST LEADERSHIP STRATEGY DIMENSION

Abstract

Teardown analysis which has been widely used by private sector for long time but rarely mentioned in the social science field of Turkish literature is examined only with the cost dimension in this paper. Firms which use teardown analysis can have the knowledge about different aspects of products of rivals like; quality, components, design, processes and costs. At the result of teardown analysis firms can add quality to their components and functionality to their products. If it is found out that the rivals are using cheaper components,
then the firm can have advantage at claiming a discount or change in the supply chain options and conditions. As a result of teardown analysis, firms can use this gained cost advantage to compete in the market or to have chance for creating a new fund for new investment decisions.

MALİYET LİDERLİĞİ STRATEJİSİ BOYUTUNDA DEMONTAJ ANALİZİ YÖNTEMİ İLE MALİYET MİNİMİZASYONUNUN SAĞLANMASI

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, sektörde yıllardır uygulanan fakat sosyal bilimler kapsamında Türkçe yazınında çok az ele alınan demontaj analizi sadece maliyet boyutu ile ele alınmıştır. Demontaj analizi kullanan işletmeler, rakiplerinin ürünlerinin kalitesi, içerdiği parçalar, dizayn, süreç ve maliyetleri gibi birçok konu ile ilgili bilgi elde edebilmektedir. Bu kapsamda ele alınacak bir demontaj analizi ile işletmeler kullandıkları parçaların niteliğini veya ürünün fonksiyonelliğini artırabilir. Rakiplerin daha uygun fiyatlı parça kullandığının tespiti halinde,
tedarik seçenekleri ve koşullarında indirim sağlayabilme gibi avantajlar elde edebilmektedir. İşletmeler kazandıkları maliyet avantajını piyasada rekabet edebilmek için kullanabilme, ya da bu maliyet avantajı ile yeni yatırım kararları için kaynak yaratma şansını elde edebilmektedir.
