Matematiksel İlişkilendirme Becerisi ile Öz yeterlilik İnancı Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

Öz

Bu çalışmada matematiksel ilişkilendirme becerisi ile matematiksel ilişkilendirme öz-yeterlik inancı arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla Ordu ilinde yer alan bir devlet okulunda öğrenim görmekte ve 11. sınıfa devam etmekte olan 33 öğrenci ile çalışılmıştır. Çalışma bir durum çalışmasıdır. Araştırmanın veri toplama araçları araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilmiş olan İlişkilendirme Beceri Testi ile Özgen ve Bindak (2018) tarafından geliştirilmiş olan İlişkilendirme Öz-Yeterlik Ölçeği’dir.  İlişkilendirme Beceri Testi’nin kuramsal çatısı için Mumcu (2018)’in çalışmasından yararlanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde ise betimsel istatistikler ve korelasyon analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda öğrencilerin ilişkilendirme becerileri ile ilişkilendirme öz-yeterlikleri arasında pozitif yönlü ve anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca veri toplama araçlarının alt boyutları arasındaki ilişkiler incelendiğinde ise, matematiği gerçek yaşamla ilişkilendirme öz yeterliği ile gerçek yaşamla ilişkilendirme becerisi ile matematiği farklı disiplinlerle ilişkilendirme öz yeterliği ile farklı disiplinlerle ilişkilendirme becerisi arasında anlamlı ilişkiler olması beklenirken, söz konusu ilişkilerin düşük düzeyde olduğu görülmüştür.

The Investigation of the Relationship Between Mathematical Connection Skill and Self-Efficacy Belief

Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between mathematical connection skill and mathematical connection self-efficacy beliefs. The study group consist of 33 students who are in the 11th grade of a public high school in Ordu. The study is a case study and data collection tools are Mathematical Connection Skill Test developed by the researcher and the Mathematical Connection Self-efficacy Scale developed by Özgen and Bindak (2018). The study of Mumcu (2018) was used for the theoretical framework of the Mathematical Connection Skill Test. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were used. As a result of the study, it has been found that there is a positive and significant relationship between the students' connection skills and self-efficacy beliefs. In addition, when the relations between the sub-dimensions of data collection tools are examined, it is seen that there is a low relationship between skill of mathematical connection with real life and self-efficacy of connection with real life, skill of connect mathematics with different disciplines and self-efficacy of connecting with different disciplines than expected. Suggestions were made for the nature of teaching environments and different studies that could be done about this subject in the light of the results obtained from the work.
