AbstractEffects of Care Supply on Patient Satisfaction After Cesarean Section Objective: The research was carried out experimentally to examine the effect of care supply on patient satisfaction after cesarean section. Method: The sample of the study was consisted of 100 women stayed in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Service at Mersin University Research and Practice Hospital. Subjects of the control group received the usual care protochol, but the experiment group received the standard care protochol by the service nurses. All the patients decided upon the cesarean operation and accepted to the service were applied on advertiser information form and a satisfaction scale. Before passing from the control group to the experiment group, the midwives and the nurses were trained for 3 sessions. Contrary to the control group, the experiment group was applied a care standard form which belongs to the preoperative and postoperative periods and which was developed by the researcher. The data were evaluated statistically. Results: 30% of the women attending the research were between 27-31 age range and 33% of them were undergraduate or higher in education. 39 % of them have a job and 94% of these women have social security. 61% of the women had two or more children, 82% of them wished their pregnancy, 61% of them planned this pregnancy, 98% of them have been controlled throughout their pregnancy and 63% of them consulted a doctor at the hospitals for these controls. After the cesarean section, patient satisfaction scale score average was 57.4 for the subjects of the control group, and it was 63.1 for the subjects of the experiment group (p=0.021). Conclusion: Planned and appropriate standardized care after the cesarean section raises patient satisfaction.
Türkçe Özet:Amaç: Araştırma, sezaryen sonrası verilen bakımın hasta memnuniyetine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla deneysel olarak yapıldı. Yöntem: Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Mersin Üniversitesi Araştırma ve Uygulama Hastanesi Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Servisinde yatan toplam 100 kadın oluşturdu. Çalışma kontrol ve deney grubu olmak üzere iki gruba dayalı olarak yürütüldü. Kontrol grubundaki kadınlar servis hemşirelerinin kendi çalışma protokolleri doğrultusunda, deney grubundaki kadınlar ise bakım standartları doğrultusunda bakım aldı. Sezaryen operasyonu olmasına karar verilen ve servise kabul edilen tüm hastalara tanıtıcı bilgi formu ve memnuniyet ölçeği uygulandı. Kontrol grubu tamamlandıktan sonra ebe ve hemşirelere 3 oturumdan oluşan eğitim verildi. Kontrol grubundan farklı olarak deney grubuna araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen preoperatif ve postoperatif döneme ait bakım standardı formu uygulandı. Veriler istatistiksel olarak değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Araştırma kapsamına alınan kadınların %30\'u 27-31 yaş grubunda olup, %33\'ü lisans ve lisansüstü mezuniyet derecesine sahiptir. Kadınların %39\'u çalışmakta ve çoğunluğunun sosyal güvencesi bulunmaktadır. Kadınların %61\'inin 2 ve daha fazla çocuğu olduğu, %82\'sinin istenilen bir gebelik olduğu ve %98\'inin doğum öncesi bakım aldığı belirlenmiştir. Kontrol grubundaki kadınların sezaryen sonrası verilen bakımdan memnuniyet ölçeği puan ortalaması 57.4 iken, deney grubunda puan ortalaması 63.1\'e yükselmiştir (p= 0.021) Sonuç: Sezaryen sonrası dönemde verilen planlı ve standartlara uygun bakım hasta memnuniyetini artırmaktadır.

MEU Journal of Health Sciences Assoc was began to the publishing process in 2008 under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Gönül Aslan, Editor-in-Chief, and affiliated to Mersin University Institute of Health Sciences. In March 2015, Prof. Dr. Caferi Tayyar Şaşmaz undertook the Editor-in Chief position and since then he has been in charge.
Publishing in three issues per year (April - August - December), it is a multisectoral refereed scientific journal. In addition to research articles, scientific articles such as reviews, case reports and letters to the editor are published in the journal. Our journal, which has been published via e-mail since its inception, has been published both online and in print. Following the Participation Agreement signed with TÜBİTAK-ULAKBİM Dergi Park in April 2015, it has started to accept and evaluate online publications.
