Abstract

Social context has a quality that includes material and discursive elements within the integrity formed by social property relations. Considering thought and the social environment in which thought occurs as ontologically separated levels may lead to erroneous approaches. For this reason, throughout the article, it is aimed to conduct a social analysis by establishing the connection between political thought and its material basis. Therefore, the arguments put forward regarding the nature of politics in the global capitalist period will be evaluated in the capitalist social context. In the article, on the basis of the integrity of capitalist social property relations, the political-economic developments in the 1980s and afterwards and the changes in the nature of politics are discussed. In this context, C. Mouffe’s and E. M. Wood's evaluations of the nature of politics in the global capitalist period are discussed because they are considered valuable in terms of representing different perspectives on the nature of politics in capitalist societies. The arguments put forward by researchers differ in terms of their research approaches, methods and views on social integrity in the global capitalist era. In the article, it is stated that in the background of this discussion, the distinction between the political sphere and the economic sphere, which is the specific aspect of capitalist social property relations in the global capitalist period, continues to exist, but significant changes have occurred in the nature of politics.

Küresel kapitalist dönemde siyasetin niteliğini açıklama girişimi olarak C. Mouffe-E. M. Wood karşılaştırması

Abstract

Toplumsal bağlam, toplumsal mülkiyet ilişkilerinin oluşturduğu bütünsellik içinde maddi ve söylemsel olan unsurları içeren bir niteliğe sahiptir. Düşünceyle düşüncenin oluştuğu toplumsal ortamı, birbirinden ontolojik olarak ayrılmış düzeyler olarak değerlendirmek hatalı yaklaşımların ortaya çıkmasına neden olabilir. Bu nedenle, makale boyunca siyasal düşüncenin maddi temelle bağı kurularak bir toplumsal inceleme yapılması hedeflenmektedir. Dolayısıyla, küresel kapitalist dönemde siyasetin niteliğine ilişkin ortaya koyulan savlar, kapitalist toplumsal bağlamda değerlendirilecektir. Makalede, kapitalist toplumsal mülkiyet ilişkilerinin bütünselliği temelinde, 1980’li yıllar ve sonrasında yaşanan politik-ekonomik gelişmeler ile birlikte siyasetin niteliğinde ortaya çıkan değişimler incelenmektedir. Bu bağlamda, C. Mouffe ve E. M. Wood’un küresel kapitalist dönemde siyasetin niteliğine ilişkin değerlendirmeleri, kapitalist toplumlarda siyasetin niteliğine ilişkin farklı perspektifleri temsil etmeleri bakımından değerli görüldüğü için tartışılmaktadır. Araştırmacıların ortaya koydukları savlar, araştırma yaklaşımları, yöntemleri ve küresel kapitalist dönemde toplumsal bütünselliğe ilişkin görüşleri bakımından ayrışmaktadır. Makalede, bu karşılaştırmanın oluşturduğu arka planda, küresel kapitalist dönemde kapitalist toplumsal mülkiyet ilişkilerinin özgül yanı olan siyasal alan ve ekonomik alan arasındaki ayrımın varlığının devam ettiği, ancak siyasetin niteliğinde önemli değişimler gerçekleştiği ifade edilmektedir.
