Mevzu – Journal of Social Sciences is a national refereed journal and publishes two issues a year (in March and September). No fee is wanted from the authors for the article assessment and publication process.
Our journal uses the Isnad Citation System 2nd Edition (ISNAD Author-title and ISNAD Author-date). In the section of science, whichever is widely used, the footnote or in-text system can be preferred.
The content of the research articles sent to the journal should be at least 3,000 and at most 9,000 words (except for the abstract, bibliography and appendix). Articles exceeding 9,000 words are included in the referee process if considered appropriate by the Editorial Board. At the beginning of the article, 150-400 words of Turkish Abstract and English Abstract, 5-8 words of Turkish keywords and English keywords and Turkish and English titles should be included.
Ethics Board approval should be obtained for articles that require Ethics Board approval, and this approval (board name, date, and number) should be mentioned on the first page of the article and in the method section. Please review the Journal's Ethical Principles and Publication Policy for research that requires Ethics Board approval. In articles produced from the thesis, the thesis author should be specified as the first author.
Turkish and English articles can be published in the journal. A maximum of one article of the same type by the same author can be published in any number. More than one article by the same author can be published, provided that they are of different types.
Articles sent for publication are reviewed to pre-control, plagiarism screening, referee assessment, and language control.
The article, which does not pass this process even though it has been examined three times during the Pre-Control stage, is returned to the author and is not processed again in the same publication period.
Articles that pass the Pre-Control stage are included in the assessment process in which at least two referees are assigned within the framework of the double-blind refereeing principle. Click for the assessment process.
At the end of the articles that have more than one author whose referee process has been completed, a statement of contribution rate, if any, a statement of support and acknowledgment, and a conflict statement should be included.
