Mevzu - Journal of Social Sciences is journal a peer-reviewed academic journal published electronically twice a year on 15 March and 15 Semtember.. It publishes scientific studies such as research articles, critical texts, review articles, translated articles, reviews, review of scientific meetings and biographies in the field of Social Sciences.

Mevzu - Journal of Social Sciences accepts paper submission from researchers with only doctoral degrees in research articles and book review.

Mevzu - Journal of Social Sciences uses the Isnad Citation System 2nd Edition (ISNAD Author-Title and ISNAD Author-Date). Whichever of the footnote or in-text system is widely used in the relevant science, can be preferred.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal must not have been previously published elsewhere or accepted for publication. Articles produced from graduate theses and symposium papers can be uploaded to the journal system by including the ethical statement at the beginning of the article.

Sample: This article is extracted from my master thesis/doctorate dissertation entitled “…”, (Master Thesis/PhD Dissertation, ….. University, Ankara/Turkey, 2021).
Ethics committee approval should be obtained for studies that require ethics committee approval and this approval (committee name, date, and number) should be mentioned on the first page of the study and in the method section. Please review the Journal's Ethical Principles and Publication Policy for research that requires ethics committee approval.

Turkish, Arabic and English articles can be published in the journal. Mevzu - Journal of Social Sciences does not publish more than one research paper of the same author in a single issue. More than one work of the same author can be published, provided that they are in different categories.

The volume of the articles should be at least 3,000 and at most 9,000 words (except for the abstract, bibliography and appendix). All articles should include an abstract both in English and in Turkish of 150-400 words and 5-8 keywords. There is a 150-400 word limit for the Turkish abstract. The English abstract can be longer, provided that it is the same as the Turkish abstract.

In the Abstract section; the main methodological framework of the research, such as the subject, scope, importance, purpose and method, should be specified, and the results and sources used should not be mentioned. The abstract should be written in a single paragraph. The use of the Turkish Diyanet Foundation’s Encyclopedia of Islam (See. https://islamansiklopedisi.org.tr) should be followed in writing the Arabic proper names (religion, sect, person, surah, etc.), book titles and concepts in the Turkish abstract. The 3rd edition of Encyclopedia of Islam should be taken into account when writing proper names, book titles and concepts in the English (abstract and keywords) text.

The works cited in the text should be added to the end of the text under the REFERENCES title. REFERENCES should be written in Latin letters at the end of Arabic articles.
Our journal recommends the use of Zotero, Mendeley or Endnote in terms of international compatibility in article writing.
At the end of the manuscripts with more than one author whose peer-review process has been completed, a statement of contribution rate, a statement of support and acknowledgment, if any, and a conflict statement should be included.

The format of the manuscripts sent to the journal should be as follows:
It must be written in Microsoft Office Word.
Page Size: It should be in 17x24 size.
Font: Manuscripts should be written with the Book Antiqua font in 11 point size and footnotes should be 9 point.
The citation system used in the article should be in accordance with the Isnad Citation System 2nd edition. Click for the Isnad Citation System.
Details such as page numbers, headers and footers should not be included.

Titles
There should be a Turkish and English title at the beginning of the article. Titles should be as short as possible and reflect the subject. In-text headings should be written in the decimal system, for example “1. 2. 3.; 1.1., 1.2.; 1.2.1.” It should be created manually using a number and then a dot. Automatic captions should not be used. In first-degree titles, the first letter of each word should be capitalized and written in bold.
