Mersin Journal of Theology aims to share academic studies in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities / Theology with the public and to contribute to the accumulation of knowledge of the aforementioned fields. The publication of scientific studies in these fields will contribute to the universality of science as well as facilitate the accessibility of information. For this reason, the ultimate goal of our journal is to convey the information produced in the name of science to the society gratuitously and to reinforce the universality of science.

The scope of the journal includes studies in the fields of Tafsir, Hadith, Kalam, Islamic Law, History of Islamic Sects, Sufism, Arabic Language and Rhetoric-Literature, Kıraat from Basic Islamic Sciences; Islamic Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, Psychology of Religion, Sociology of Religion, Religious Education, History of Religions, Logic from Philosophy and Religious Sciences; Islamic History, Turkish Islamic Arts, Turkish Islamic Literature, Turkish Religious Music from Islamic History and Arts, and studies from the field of Religious Culture and Ethics Education.

In addition to Turkish, scientific studies prepared in Arabic and English can also be published.

The target audience of the journal consists of academics, researchers, professionals, students and related professional and academic institutions and organisations.

At most one work by the same author can be published in one issue.

In articles produced from thesis, the student should be the first author and the supervisor should be the second author.
