Abstract

Ülkemizde yazın dersinin öğretiminde her zaman sorunlar olduğu söylenir. Neden olarak da öğrenci merkezli bir eğitim yerine ezbere dayalı bir eğitimin yapıldığını söyleyebiliriz. Bu makalede ‘nasıl bir yazın eğitimi yapılmalıdır?’ sorusuna yanıt aranmıştır. Geliştirilen yaklaşımda iki farklı ders (okuma ve anlama, yazma ve sözbilim) önerilmiştir. Okuma anlama dersinde bir kısım edebiyat tarihine yer verilse de, asıl olarak öğrencinin etkin olacağı anlama ve anlamlandırmaya önem verilmesi gerektiği öne sürülmüştür. Temelde öğrencinin metni okuyup, anlayacağı ve yorumlayacağı bir yaklaşım savunulmuştur. Yazma ve sözbilim dersi ise diğer dersteki öğrenilen bilgilerin uygulama örneklerinin yapılacağı bir ders olarak düşünülmüştür

A NEW APPROACH OF LITERATURE EDUCATION IN HIGH SCHOOLS

Abstract

It is stated that we have always had problems in teaching literature in our
country. We can easily say what underlies behind this fact is that we do more
memorization based education than that of student centered. In this article, the
answer to the question of “What kind of literature education should be given?” was
sought. In the approach developed, two different lessons (reading and
understanding, writing and rhetoric) were suggested. It was suggested that the
ultimate emphasis in reading and understanding lessons, though part of it was
allotted to the history of literature, was to be given to the students’ understanding
and deriving meaning from literature in which students would be more active.
Basically, an approach by which the student could read, understand and interpret a
text was proposed. Writing and rhetoric lessons were considered as the classes in
which the students could practice what they already learned in the other classes.
