A COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN STUDENTS IN HIGH SCHOOLS IN TERMS OF MALADAPTIVE SCHEMAS, KYRGYZSTAN AND TURKEY EXAMPLES

Abstract

In this study, scores of Young Schema Questionnaire of the high school students who are living in Kyrgyzstan and Turkey analyzed in some of the terms comperatively. It is a scan type research. In our study, has been used Young Schema Questionnaire Short Form-3 to learn about schema degree of the students. Form of the questionnaire which adapted to Turkish language by Karaosmanoglu (2009) to Turkish students and form of the questionnaire which adapted to Russian language by Salimoglu (2012) to Kyrgyz students have been used. Besides, personal information form which has prepared by the researcher so as to collect data about the demographic variables of students has been used. The students who are at 9th, 10th, 11th grade of Kyrgyz high schools in Bishkek and students 10th, 11th, 12th grade of Turkish high schools in Bakirkoy region of in academic year of 2011-2012 are universe of the research. The students who are at 9th, 10th, 11th grade of №6 High School and Kyrgyz Turkish Girls Vocational High School, also students 10th, 11th, 12th grade students of Bakirkoy Imam Hatip High School and Sabri Caliskan High School are sample of this research. Analysing data of research in parametric distribution used independent sample t test and analysis of variance (ANOVA). ANOVA analysis of cases in which a Significant Tamhane's T2 test was used for non-homogeneous variances. Besides, in non-parametric distributions Kruskal Wallis H test was used. In cases where Kruskal Wallis H analysis significant the Mann-Whitney-U test was used. Schema scores of the students participated our research in term of marital status of parents, gender of students, absence of the mother and father variables in both sample groups have been differentiated. On the other hand it was observed that there is undergo a change by the variables of age, birt horder and perceived level of income only in the one group
