Organizational commitment is an important factor in achieving the goals of the organization. For this reason, this study aimed to examine the perceptions of teachers who are more than the norm staff on organizational commitment. The research was designed as a case study which is one of the qualitative research designs. The study group of the research has consisted of 13 norm staff surplus classroom teachers working in the Ministry of National Education in the 2020-2021 academic year. Research data were collected by semi-structured interview technique, which is one of the qualitative data collection techniques. The data obtained from the interviews have been carried out with the MaxQda 2020 program using the content analysis method. As a result of the study, the emerging findings showed that in consequence of assigning teachers to work in the schools, the teachers were not able to be included in the groups in the schools. These findings also illustrated that teachers have dealt with prejudices since they started to work through assignments. Finally, they also experienced uncertainty, and therefore they expressed that they experienced a sense of professional insecurity.
