Author Guidelines

In order to upload your article to our journal, the Author button must be marked in the My Account / Edit My Profile option. In order for the referee process to be initiated, your article must be organized according to the writing rules (click to download).

The maximum number of pages for submitted articles is 20. A single-page plagiarism prevention program report indicating the similarity rate of the articles sent to our journal, an ethics committee report requested for articles requiring an ethics committee decision (see Ethical Principles and Publication Policy) and a copyright transfer form must be uploaded by the responsible author together with the article.

In order to facilitate the follow-up of the studies published in our journal by foreign readers, and to increase the interest and citation count towards our journal and publications, an extended abstract in English will be requested for the studies to be published starting from 2017. An Extended Abstract in English will be added after the References section of articles written in Turkish. (A Turkish extended abstract will not be added to articles written in English). The extended abstract will be between 750-1000 words. The formal writing features of the journal that apply to the main text also apply to the extended abstract. Extended Abstract will include the subheadings “Introduction”, “Method” and “Result and Discussion”.

In newly uploaded studies to journal automation, an extended abstract in English will be required, and studies that do not meet this condition will not be evaluated. For studies that have been previously uploaded to journal automation and are in the evaluation process, after the publishable decision is made, authors will be asked to add an extended abstract in English to their studies.

ULAKBİM has updated the TRDİZİN Journal Evaluation Criteria for 2020 and detailed the articles regarding the ethics committee approval that must be in scientific research. In this context;

- An Ethics Committee Approval Certificate must be obtained, and all articles included in the publication process after January 1, 2020 must specify and document the ethics committee information and statements. Retrospective ethics committee approval is not required for articles that were produced from postgraduate/doctoral studies using research data before 2020, were submitted to the journal before 2020, were accepted but not yet published.

- The declaration regarding ethics should include statements such as “compliance with research and publication ethics” and/or “compliance with copyright regulations for the ideas and works of art used”.

- Information regarding permission (board name, date and issue number) should be included in the method section and also in the footnote on the first page of the article.
- It should be stated that permission was obtained from the owners for the use of scales, surveys and photographs belonging to others.
- In case reports (qualitative interviews, observations, etc.), information should be provided indicating that the informed consent/consent form was signed.

Without this information and documents, articles will not be published even if the evaluation process is completed.
