Abstract
Türkiye’de 27 Ekim 2003 tarihinden bu yana işlemekte olan bireysel (özel) emeklilik sistemi, sosyal güvenlik reformunun bir parçası olmakla birlikte, yalnızca bu amaca hizmet etmekle kalmamakta, bununla birlikte finansal sistemin gelişmesinde de, önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, öncelikle Türkiye’deki bireysel emeklilik sisteminin kısa bir geçmişi ele alınmış ve sistemin mevcut durumu literatür taraması yapılarak ortaya konmuştur. Çalışmada makro ekonomik dinamiklere etkisi kapsamında ülkemizdeki bireysel emeklilik sisteminin bu günkü durumu değerlendirilmiş, Swot analizi yapılarak sistemin güçlü ve zayıf yönlerinin, fırsat ve tehditlerinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır.

Abstract
Individual (private) Retirement System in Turkey, as a part of the social security reform, not only serves to this purpose but also plays an important role in the development of the financial system since October 27, 2003. In this study, a brief history of the private pension system in Turkey is discussed and current state of the system is explained by reviewing the literature. Within the scope of this study, the present situation of Private Pension System is investigated with the help of Swot analysis and it is aimed to explained the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats under the effect of macro economic dynamics.
