SOSYOTERAPİ: SOSYOLOJİNİN TERAPÖTİK KULLANIMI

Abstract

Sociotherapy: Use of Sociology for Therapeutic Purposes Sociotherapy which provides therapeutic usage of sociology, was developed as a field in the 20th Century. Mainly, with the consciousness all problems have a “social” dimension, sociotherapy has sought to find the solution and healing also in the social dimension. In this type of therapy, the patient or the person who has therapy has an active role as much as the therapist. Synergy created in group therapy, giving the feeling of trust and mutual understanding to individuals is the main source of healing. A therapeutic discipline was born from sociology with sociotherapy, similar to the birth of psychotherapy from the science of psychology. The foundations of this discipline can be found in clinical sociology.

Abstract

Sosyoterapi, sosyolojinin terapötik kullanımını sağlayan bir alan olarak 20. yüzyılda geliştirilmiştir. Esasen, yaşanan problemlerin temelinde “sosyal” olanın olduğu bilinciyle sosyoterapi çözüm ve sağaltım alanını da sosyal boyuta taşımaktadır. Bu terapi türünün kullanımında, terapist kadar hasta ya da terapi gören de etkin bir rol alır. Karşılıklı diyalog ve iletişim çerçevesinde sorunların dile getirilmesiyle tedricen sağaltımın gerçekleşmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bireye, grup terapisi içinde güven duygusu vererek ve karşılıklı anlayış, empati sağlanarak oluşturulan sinerji iyileşme sürecinin asıl kaynağıdır. Sosyoterapiyle tıpkı psikoloji biliminden psikoterapinin kaynaklanması gibi, sosyolojiden terapötik bir disiplin doğmuştur. Bu disiplinin temelleri klinik sosyolojide bulunabilir.
