Kronik Hastalıklarda Psikolojik Gıda Bağlılığı, Öz Etkililik ve Uyumun Dinamikleri: Hemşirelik Odağında Bir İnceleme

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmada kronik hastalığı olan bireylerde psikolojik gıda bağlılığı, öz etkililik ve kronik hastalıklara uyum arasındaki ilişkinin hemşirelik perspektifinden incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipteki bu araştırmaya bir üniversite hastanesinde yatarak tedavi gören kronik hastalığı olan 212 birey dahil edilmiştir. Araştırma verileri Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Psikolojik Gıda Bağlılığı Ölçeği, Kronik Hastalık Yönetimi İçin 6 Maddelik Öz-Etkililik Ölçeği ve Kronik Hastalıklara Uyum Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistiklerden frekans, yüzde, ortalama, standart sapma değerleri, t testi, tek yönlü ANOVA ve Pearson korelasyon testi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Kadın, bekar, yalnız yaşayan, sigara-alkol kullanan katılımcıların psikolojik gıda bağlılığı düzeyi yüksek, öz etkililik ve kronik hastalığa uyumu düşük bulunmuştur. Buna karşılık düzenli sağlık kontrolü, ilaç tedavisi-diyete uyum gösteren ve egzersiz yapan katılımcıların ise psikolojik gıda bağlılığı düzeyi düşük, öz etkililik ve kronik hastalığa uyumu ise yüksek olarak belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Çalışma, kronik hastalık yönetiminde psikolojik faktörlerin kritik rolünü ortaya koymaktadır. Yüksek psikolojik gıda bağlılığı daha düşük kronik hastalığa uyum düzeyleriyle ilişkiliyken, yüksek öz etkililik daha yüksek uyum düzeyleriyle ilişkilidir. Hemşirelik açısından bakıldığında, duygusal düzenlemeyi destekleyen, sağlığı destekleyici davranışları teşvik eden ve psikososyal destek sağlayan bireyselleştirilmiş bakım stratejileri, kronik hastalıkları olan hastalarda öz etkililiği artırmak ve uyumu iyileştirmek için gereklidir.

Dynamics of Psychological Food Involvement, Self-Efficacy, and Adaptation in Chronic Illness: A Nursing Perspective

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine the relationship between psychological food involvement, self-efficacy, and adaptation to chronic diseases in individuals with chronic illnesses from a nursing perspective. Methods: This descriptive and cross-sectional study included 212 individuals who have chronic diseases receiving inpatient treatment at a university hospital. Data were collected using a Personal Information Form, Psychological Food Involvement Scale, Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale, and Adaptation to Chronic Illness Scale. Descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation test, were used to analyze the data. Results: Female, single, and living alone, as well as those who smoked or consumed alcohol, were found to have higher levels of psychological food involvement and lower levels of self-efficacy and adaptation to chronic diseases. In contrast, participants who attended regular health check-ups, adhered to medication and diet, and engaged in regular exercise demonstrated lower levels of psychological food involvement and higher levels of self-efficacy and adaptation. Conclusion: The study highlights the critical role of psychological factors in chronic disease management. Higher psychological food involvement is associated with lower levels of adaptation to chronic illness, whereas higher self-efficacy is associated with higher levels of adaptation. From a nursing perspective, individualized care strategies that support emotional regulation, encourage health-promoting behaviors, and provide psychosocial support are essential to enhance self-efficacy and improve adaptation in patients with chronic diseases.
