Sezaryen Ameliyatında, Anestezi Yöntemi İle Gebelerin Eğitim Düzeyinin İlgisi Var Mı?

Abstract

Amaç: Sezaryen cerrahisinde santral blokların kullanılması, anestezi risklerini azaltarak daha güvenli anestezi uygulanmasını sağlamaktadır. Annenin eğitim düzeyi kadar anadilinin anestezi yöntemini belirlemede etken olabileceği düşünülmektedir. İyi anlatılmış anestezi uygulaması, annenin doğru tercih yapması ile anestezi ekibine olumlu katkı sunacak ve sezaryen anestezisi uygulamasının çok daha güvenli hale gelmesini sağlayabilecektir. Çalışmamızda sezaryen ameliyatı geçirecek gebelerde eğitim düzeyinin anestezi tercihine etkisinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır.
Yöntem: Retrospektif olarak 2017-2020 arsında sezaryen ameliyatı geçirmiş 4500 gebenin dosyası tarandı. Bunlardan eğitim ve tıbbi verilerine tam ulaşılan 3998’nin bilgileri kayıt altına alındı. Hastaların yaş, eğitim durumu, Türkçe bilip bilmemeleri, sezaryen endikasyonları, anestezi tercihleri (Genel Anestezi: GA, Rejyonal Anestezi (Spinal Anestezi): RA) kayıt altına alındı.
Bulgular: Elektif sezaryen ameliyatına alınan gebelerin eğitim düzeyi ile anestezi yöntemi seçimi (GA, RA) arasında istatistiksel anlamlı fark saptanmadı.
Sonuç: Anestezi öncesi muayenede gebelere yapılan bilgilendirme sonrası gebenin eğitim durumunun anestezi seçimini etkilemediği, elektif sezaryen uygulamasında daha çok spinal anestezi tercih edildiği ve uygulandığı sonucuna varılmıştır.

Is there a relationship between the choice of anesthesia method and the education level of pregnant women in cesarean section?

Abstract

Objective: The use of central blocks in cesarean section surgery, reduces the risks of anesthesia and ensures safer anesthesia. It is thought that mother’s education level may be a factor in determining the anesthesia method. A well-explained anesthesia application will make a positive contribution to the anesthesia team with the mother making the right choice and will make the cesarean section anesthesia application much safer. In our study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of education level on the preference of anesthesia in pregnant women who will undergo cesarean section.
Method: The files of 4500 pregnant women who had undergone cesarean section between 2017- 2020 were reviewed retrospectively. Of these, the information of 3998, whose educational and medical data were fully accessed, were recorded. The patient’s age, education level, cesarean section indications and anesthesia preferences (General anesthesia:GA, Regional anesthesia (spinal anesthesia:RA) were recorded.
Results: When the choice of anesthesia (GA, RA) and variables were evaluated, no statistically significant difference was found, in terms of education level.
Conclusion: After informing the pregnant women in the pre-anesthesia examination, it was concluded that the educational status of the pregnant did not affect the choice of anesthesia, and that spinal anesthesia was preferred and applied more in elective cesarean section.
