Ethics Committee Approval

ULAKBIM TR INDEX Committee requests that Ethics Committee Approval be obtained for research conducted in all branches of science, including social sciences, upon the change it has made in the journal evaluation criteria for the year 2020, and that this approval should be stated and documented in the article.

Following this amendment in Article 8 of the TR INDEX Evaluation Criteria, in studies requiring ethics committee approval, the process of which started in 2020, the information (ethics committee name, date, and issue number) in the Ethics Committee Approval should be included in the method section of the article and also in the first/last article of the article. page is mandatory. Accordingly, it will be sent to our journal for publication in the next period;

(1) In all studies conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from the participants by using survey, interview, focus group study, observation, experiment, and interview techniques.

(2) In research using humans and animals (including material/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes.

(3) In clinical studies on humans.

(4) In animal studies.

(5) Following the law on the protection of personal data, information regarding the ethics committee should be included in the relevant sections in retrospective research, and research and publication ethics should be complied with.

• In case studies being submitted apart from research articles;

(1) Indication of receipt of the informed consent form

(2) Obtaining and specifying permission from the owners for the use of scales, questionnaires, photographs belonging to others

(2) It should be stated that copyright regulations are complied with for the intellectual and artistic works used.

• Ethics Committee Approval will not be required for review articles.

For the articles that are currently in process in our journal and for which Ethics Committee Approval is available, the responsible authors should include the information regarding the Ethics Committee Approval as stated above, after the evaluation process is finalized and the publication is finalized. Apart from this, retrospective ethics committee approval is not required for articles that are in progress before the year 2020, research data before 2020, produced from master's/doctoral studies (must be specified in the article), articles that have been applied for publication to the journal in the previous year, have been accepted but not yet published. However, after the publication of the article is accepted, the responsible author will be added to the last page of the article “In the article titled ..............., I undertake that Ereğli Faculty of Education Journal has no responsibility and all responsibility belongs to the Corresponding Author. Non-university researchers are also required to obtain Ethics Committee Approval by applying to the Ethics Committees in their regions for their research that requires ethics committee approval.
