Abstract

Abstract

In this study, inventory management of perishable products is studied in
multi-stage supply chain setting. In a three stage supply chain setting which
consists of customer, retailer and manufacturer, perishable inventory
management is modeled and parameters of the model are determined with
simulation optimization approach. A simulation program is used for modeling
inventory management, centralized and decentralized inventory management is
examined, and the results are presented on comparative tables. In study,
minimization of total cost of supply chain and improving customer satisfaction
level are considered as performance measures.
