Abstract
The aim of this study is to evaluate the validity and reliability of the scale which will be used in the sample of the study which consists of 422 primary school students from four different schools of Bursa province. For statistical analysis of the data SPSS 13.0 package program was used. The construct validity of the adopted scale was actualized by using exploratory factor analysis. The results of the exploratory factor analysis showed that there are three subscales as health education, routine screening and environmental conditions, health protection. Among the factors which were decided as important the first one explained the 15.54%, the second explained 11.94% and the third explained 11.53% of the total variaence respectively. For determination of reliability of the scale Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient was used. Cronbach alpha reliability coefficients for each subscale are as follows: health education 0.81, routine screening and environmental conditions 0.70, health protection 0. As a result it was found out that the 24 items of health promoting school scale has reliability and validity.

Abstract
Bu ara?tyrmanyn amacy "Sa?ly?y Geli?tiren Okullar Ölçe?ini (SGOÖ)" hazyrlamak, geçerli?ini ve güvenirli?ini saptayarak ölçe?in tüm okullarda uygulanabilmesi için payla?ylmasydyr. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde SPSS 13.0 istatistik paket programy kullanylmy?tyr. Geli?tirilen veri toplama aracynyn faktöryel (yapy) geçerli?i, açymlayycy faktör analizi ile yapylmy?tyr. Veri toplama aracy sa?lyk e?itimi, rutin taramalar ve çevresel ko?ullar ve sa?ly?y koruma olmak üzere üç faktörlü bir yapydan olu?mu?tur. Veri toplama aracynda önemli olarak belirlenen faktörlerden birincisi ölçe?e ili?kin toplam varyansyn %15.54'ünü, ikinci faktör %11.94'ünü, üçüncü faktör ise %11.53'ünü açyklamaktadyr. Üç faktör toplam varyansyn %38.1'ini açyklamaktadyr. Güvenirlili?ini belirlemek için ise Cronbach Alfa iç tutarlyk katsayysyna bakylmy?tyr. Cronbach alfa de?erleri sa?lyk e?itimi alt ölçe?i için 0.81, rutin taramalar ve çevresel ko?ullar alt ölçe?i için 0.70 ve sa?ly?y koruma alt ölçe?i için 0.69 olarak hesaplanmy?tyr. Sonuç olarak 24 maddelik "Sa?ly?y Geli?tiren Okullar" veri toplama aracynyn güvenirli?inin ve geçerli?inin yüksek oldu?u ve mevcut haliyle kullanylmasynyn uygun oldu?u sonucuna varylmy?tyr.
