DETERMINATION OF THE RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF PA 6 PLASTIC MATERIAL ACCORDING TO THE PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE

Abstract

Reinforcement materials add the plastics and its proportion change mechanical properties of plastics. But, mouldability of plastics is also altering, because of changing the properties of plastic. Consequently, flow properties of reinforced plastic should be necessary during molding. In this study, flow properties of Pa6 glass fiber reinforced by different rates were investigated. Pure Pa6, 10% and 20% glass fiber reinforced Pa6 are utilized in the experimental study using Melt Flow devices. Variations of flow behaviors of Pa6 are determined according to altering of temperature and pressure. In accordance with this study, the value of Melt Flow Index (MFI) of Pa6 materials is increasing as linear depends on increasing the temperature and pressure. In addition, the values of MFI are decreasing during increasing the proportion of glass fiber reinforced.
