Abstract
As a system of production, capitalism organized leisure as well as working hours. Not only had it captured working in a rigid system of coding, but also tried to organize leisure as a tool of profit maximization by removing it from its denotation. Within this context, leisuries have become nothing to do with individual will and interests and are now under the influence of institutional apparatuses and instrumental hegemony. Leisure is no more the time for personal tranquility, intellectual density, and free choices, but has become a piece of time in which individuals un-consciously consume goods, fictitious life experiences, shopping activities, entertainment kits, media demonstrations and absurd trends without knowing actually they have been created by capitalism to maximize the profit of entrepreneurs. This article underlines the changes/deformation encountered with the restructuring of leisure as a capitalist hunting field.
Abstract
Kapitalizm bir üretim sistemi olarak çalışma kadar boş zamanı da organize etti. Çalışmayı katı bir kodlanmışlık içine hapsettiği gibi boş zamanı da terminolojik anlamından sıyırarak, kârlı bir alan olarak düzenleme çabası içinde oldu. Bu bağlamda, boş zamanlar, birey inisiyatifinden uzaklaşarak, kurumsal aygıtlar ve araçsal hegemoninin etkisine girdi. Boş zaman, artık bireysel dinginlik, düşünsel derinlik ve özgür tercihlerin zamanı değil, kapitalizmin kârı artırmak için ürettiği metaların, kurgusal yaşam deneyimlerinin, alışveriş etkinliklerinin, paket eğlencelerin, medya gösterimlerinin ve kaçışçı eğilimlerin adresi haline geldi. Bu makalede, boş zaman olgusunun kapitalist bir av sahası olarak düzenlenmesiyle, reel anlamında gözlenen değişimlere/aşınmalara temas edilmektedir.
