A person is born, grows up; lives through youth, middle age and old age and dies. The flow of life continues within this framework. During this process, a person performs many actions. The most important and meaningful of these in terms of the continuity of the generation is marriage. Children also have an important place during the marriage period. Children reach adolescence and youth during the process. One of the most important activities that should be done during the youth period is marriage. Marriage corresponds to a multidimensional world of meaning biologically, psychologically and sociologically. By getting married, a person unites their life with someone from the opposite sex. In this way, they both seek ways to be happier and ensure the continuity of the generation by having children. When a person gets married, they understand living together, sharing and responsibility better. Life brings with it many problems. Overcoming these problems and creating a more livable life is much easier with the unity of a husband and wife. Especially in the age we live in, it seems quite difficult for a person to try to solve problems alone. It is extremely important for a husband and wife to join hands in overcoming these problems. The solidarity of two people in the face of difficulties creates a power. This power is reflected in life both materially and spiritually. In fact, spiritual solidarity is much more important in solving problems. When one of the spouses is overwhelmed and bored, the other supports him/her materially and spiritually in every way and they can overcome the tasks with solidarity. There are many examples of this in society. In fact, it is seen that many successful works are done with the solidarity of husband and wife. In this sense, marriage and holding on to life as husband and wife also bring successes.
In the framework we tried to express above, marriage saves people from loneliness. Life has a meaningful and bearable feature with other person/s. Although some people have preferred to live alone in world history, human life prefers to live with other person/s in terms of ontological/creation. Especially, humans have a structure that has the feature of forming a family with the opposite sex. This need has been institutionalized with marriage and the institution of family has emerged. Therefore, marriage is a biological, psychological, sociological, cultural, etc. It plays an important role in meeting the needs. The family institution also fulfills an important duty in terms of the peace and security of people and societies. By getting married, people also take on responsibilities, in other words, they become aware of their responsibilities. Thus, they understand the meaning of life and try to live a more orderly life by fulfilling these responsibilities. Family life saves people from loneliness and alienation, provides them with an environment of refuge, endurance and security. In fact, what people desire ontologically is to achieve such a life. The most important and safe haven that provides this is seen as family. Despite the hardships of caring for, raising and educating children, having children is also a separate beauty and makes the husband and wife happy. Having children is of great importance for the continuity of the generation and therefore humanity. The most important indicator of the survival of societies is families having children. Children mean the future. Because people are born, grow up, live a certain life and die. In terms of the continuity of humanity, the birth rate should be higher than the death rate and at least at the same level. When the birth rate decreases, the society becomes older every passing day and the elderly population increases over time and the child rate decreases. This is a mathematical/statistical situation. Therefore, the marriage of young people and having children means that the society is young, dynamic and continuous. Having children, despite all its hardships, brings many gains and even happiness for both parents and society. First of all, a closer union is formed between a husband and wife who have children and the child makes a positive contribution to the happiness of the family. On the other hand, the society needs dynamic human power. This is directly related to the birth rate. A high birth rate means having a young and dynamic population. No matter how developed the societies are, in the final analysis, all work is reflected in human-centered life. For this, the continuity of the population with a certain rate of birth must be ensured. This is a situation directly related to the marriage rates.
