Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine the problems faced by midwifery department academicians in the research process during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Materials and Methods: The research is descriptive. It was participated 153 midwifery department academicians working in Council of Higher Education in the study. The data of the research were collected online between 07.11.2020-01.12.2020. As a data collection tool, the "Data Collection Form" consisting of 23 questions about descriptive information and the problems the academicians experienced in the research process during the Covid-19 pandemic was used. Descriptive statistics and chi-square analyzes were performed in the study.
Results: The average age of the academicians participating in the study was 34.96±6.89, and the average academic year of occupation was 7.79±6.19. During the Covid-19 pandemic period, it was determined that 89.5% of the academicians had problems in the research process. Academicians had the most difficulties in article research (43.1%) and thesis research (26.2%), respectively.
Conclusion: In our study, academicians were having difficulty in processes research such as planning, execution, etc. It was even seen that the research process has stopped.
Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı Covid-19 pandemi döneminde ebelik bölümü akademisyenlerinin araştırma sürecinde yaşadıkları sorunların belirlenmesidir.
Materyal ve Metot: Araştırma tanımlayıcı türdedir. Araştırmaya Yüksek Öğretim Kurumlarında çalışan 153 ebelik bölümü akademisyeni katılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri 07.11.2020-01.12.2020 tarihleri arasında online olarak toplanmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak tanımlayıcı bilgileri ve akademisyenlerin Covid-19 pandemi döneminde araştırma sürecinde yaşadıkları sorunlarla ilgili 23 sorudan oluşan “Veri Toplama Formu” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada tanımlayıcı istatistikler ve ki-kare analizleri yapılmıştır.
Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan akademisyenlerin yaş ortalaması 34,96±6,89, akademik çalışma yıl ortalaması ise 7,79±6.19 olarak belirlenmiştir. Covid-19 pandemi döneminde akademisyenlerin %89,5’inin araştırma sürecinde sorun yaşadığı belirlenmiştir. Akademisyenler, sırasıyla en çok makale araştırması (%43,1) ve tez araştırmasında (%26,2) zorluk yaşamışlardır.
Sonuç: Çalışmamızda akademisyenlerin araştırma planlama, yürütme, vs. gibi süreçlerde zorluk yaşadığı hatta araştırma sürecinin durduğu görülmektedir.
