Abstract

Kuklalar, sağlık hizmetlerinin sunumunda görev alan profesyoneller tarafından çocuklara çeşitli faydalar sağlamak amacıyla kullanılmaktadır. Kuklalar aracılığıyla çocuklara kaygı, korku ve açıklamada zorlandıkları çeşitli duygularını ifade edebilmeleri açısından kolay bir yol sağlanır. Vantrilokizm olarak bilinen yöntem, kukla kullanımında yaygın şekilde uygulanmaktadır. Bu yöntemde kişinin dudaklarını hareket ettirmeden konuşabilme yeteneği kastedilmektedir. Bu derleme makalede kuklalarla yapılan vantrilokizm uygulamalarının genel özellikleri, hastanede yatan çocuklar üzerindeki etkilerinin belirtilmesi ve çocuk hemşireliği uygulamalarındaki kullanımına yönelik literatür bilgilerinin tartışılması amaçlanmıştır.

A Magical Touch in Pediatric Nursing-Ventriloquism as a Distraction and Play Method and its Effect on Hospitalised Children

Abstract

Puppets are used by professionals involved in the delivery of health services to provide various benefits to children. Through puppets, children are provided with an easy way to express their various feelings of anxiety, fear, and difficulty in expressing. The method known as ventriloquism is widely practiced in puppet use. In this method, the ability to speak without moving one's lips is meant. In this review article, it is aimed to discuss the general characteristics of ventriloquism practices with puppets, their effects on hospitalised children, and the literature on their use in pediatric nursing practices.
