Abstract

Sosyal bir amacı olmayan ve sürekli ortaya çıkan tekrarlayıcı davranışlar basmakalıp (stereotipik) davranışlar olarak tanımlanmaktadır ve başta otizm olmak üzere farklı yetersizlik türlerinde de gözlenmektedir. Genellikle duyusal uyaran elde etmek amacıyla sergilenen içsel pekiştirme ile sonuçlanan basmakalıp davranışlar azaltılması zor olan problem davranışlardır ve günümüze değin azaltılmak amacıyla çeşitli yöntemler kullanılarak bu yöntemlerin etkililikleri sınanmıştır. Bu yöntemlerden biri de ilk kez Ahearn, Clark, McDonald ve Chung (2007) tarafından klinik ortamlarda sözel (vokal) stereotipinin azaltılması amacıyla kullanılmış olan “tepkiyi yarıda kesme ve yönlendirme” yöntemidir. Bu araştırmada bu yöntemin etkililiğini sınayan çalışmalara yönelik bir alanyazın taramasının yapılması amaçlanmış, yapılan tarama sonucunda sekiz adet çalışmaya ulaşılmış ve bu çalışmalar betimsel olarak özetlenmiştir. İncelenen araştırmaların sonuçları “tepkiyi yarıda kesme ve yönlendirme” yönteminin stereotipik davranışların azaltılmasında etkili bir yöntem olduğunu göstermektedir
