Abstract

Abstract

COVID-19 entered our lives as of December 2019 and still continues to show negative effects. This pandemic period, which will soon be a year, has brought many changes and measures to our lives. In addition to simple practices such as hand hygiene, wearing masks, wearing gloves, and paying attention to social distance, some changes are also noticeable in areas to be intervened in the pre-hospital area. Especially, the importance of these simple applications mentioned in health applications such as first aid has increased. Patient or casualty in need of first aid in the pre-hospital area may be a COVID-19 positive case. Therefore, every patient should be approached with suspicion and personal protective measures should be taken during this period. In this way, although there is no definite change in applications, substances especially for preventing contamination attract attention. Based on these sentences, in this review, it is aimed to state the first aid interventions with the newly emphasized points by the European Resuscitation Council during the COVID-19 pandemic.
